Welcome

Welcome everyone . . . This will be a new venture for me, but in an attempt to "keep up with the times" (even though I am a few light years behind), we are going to try something different. Each week I'll post two or three blogs regarding something we've read in class. These blogs will cover my own personal thoughts about the subject as well as any personal experiences that may go along. Your job will be to keep up with and respond to each blog in your own way. Of course, make sure I know who you are or the credit will go to someone else . . . probably me. Hope you can keep up. Everyone start by sending an introduction of yourself to me . . . be creative . . . don't just summarize yourself.

  1. Well, you know me. My last name is in the dictionary, though it has no insight to who I am, despite popular belief and the general consensus. Quite simply, I play tennis for ICC, listen to music 20/7 and drink far too much tea. I used to have a billion blogs on here, but blogspot wasn't cool for awhile. I don't write for anyone but myself, and I don't expect people to read, nor comment on anything I've written on here. I'm just happy if I'm still able to write. That's the beauty of English & Literature, you can ramble, not make sense, and no one could ever understand a single word you're saying. The idealism is simply expression of the inner self.
For more information, click the profile button, or go to myspace. Talking about yourself to much is overrated anyway.

  2. Allow me to formally introduce myself. Hi, I'm Ashley. Thanks for the welcome. I'm a pisces who loves long walks in the moonlight, George Carlin, philosophy, red bull, Tool, Metallica, and Led Zeppelin. My dislikes are cats, mayonnaise, and Chuck Norris.
I'm a smarta**, and I'm an avid reader, preferrably the works of Stephen King, Hunter S. Thompson, and Tucker Max. In my free time, I also love to moonwalk, knit, talk really really fast whilst speaking to the elderly, and I also deer hunt with my bare hands.
Now that the formalities are out of the way, I hope to gain alot from this to be honest. I think the extra credit rocks, but I blog on myspace, and I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy doing it here.

  4. Well, this is the third course I have taken that you teach, so you already know me pretty well. I have never "blogged" before... whether that makes me not "up with the times" as you say or not. I love computers, but I don't like to stay on them all the time, so I end up watching tv or hanging out. By the way, I told Rob about your blog. He is currently creating an account so he can join your "fan club."

  5. Well, as your favorite and of course best student, I felt the need to join the blog...I only wish I could have joined sooner and been your first follower. However, signing up now will do and will give me the opportunity to stay in touch with the coolest teacher ever when I'm no longer here in the great state of Fulton...For now, Your favorite student is over and out.

  7. I am karrett Jerpan and I really enjoy art. I am going to college majoring in art and plan to be a graphic designer. Most of the time that I am in class I draw, but i don't just draw to doodle or whatever; I use drawing as a way of taking notes or recording the time I was in that certain class. I also enjoy music with a wide scope of selection. Some days i prefer heavier more energetic music while others i like witty lyrics with melodic sounds. I spend most of my time creating some kind of artwork.

  9. Hey Mr. Ward! This is my fourth and last semester in your class and I will surely miss you. I am a really quiet person but I also love to get my work done. I graduated from Columbus High School in 2007. My major is elementary education. I will be attending State next fall and I hope I enjoy it. My father is also a preacher so I can understand where you are coming from when you talk about your father being a preacher. I never knew I would learn to enjoy writing a paper until I enter college. Thanks for teaching me and welcoming me to the site.

  10. Well, I'm Becca. I'm an English major...And I'm transferring to MUW in the fall. I like travelling and going to museums. I work at a hair salon selling shampoo and hairspray which can be quite boring. I really don't like doing "tell me about yourself" things because I can never figure out how to sum myself up in a paragraph, and I usually end up staring at it for about fifteen minutes before I get frustrated and just start rambling, like right now.
